One of India's oldest textile arts, hand block printing uses intricately carved wooden blocks to stamp patterns onto fabric, one impression at a time. Practised for centuries across Rajasthan, it creates beautifully detailed designs with the subtle warmth that only handmade printing can achieve.
Originating with the Warli people of Maharashtra, this tribal art tradition uses simple geometric forms — circles, triangles, and lines — to tell stories of village life, celebration, nature, and community. Its enduring simplicity is what makes it timeless.
